Thursday, December 20th, 2007 The Aperture - Universe Expansion, and More |
Today the countdown to The Aperture ended. As it turns out, The Aperture resulted in an expansion of the Pardus universes by four new clusters - one for each faction and one neutral - , as well as the addition of twelve new NPC types in total. → View GNN's ingame announcement here.
The eight new NPCs implemented today appear as follows:
The following table signifies The Aperture's impact on the game:
Amount of: | Clusters | Sectors | Fields (travellable) | NPCs | Old | 15 | 286 | 73644 | 64 | New | 19 | 381 | 95406 | 76 |

This enlargement by roughly 30% opens new grounds for starting players as well as many opportunities for player alliances, plus the addition of high-level NPCs which will satisfy the needs of our very advanced players. We hope everyone is going to have fun with the new territories and monsters. Thank you to all players for the support in the forums; and thank you to all Premium account holders for the financial support which has been indispensable for the development of these new features.
Last but not least, there has been another important event: the end of the Empire-Union war in Orion. Again, player Lancel was so kind as to write up and compile important war news on a day-to-day basis. This high-quality compilation has been publiziced in our Historiography section. Concerning war points, this war has ended similarly to the last one, with an advance on the Empire side and player participation in the hundreds.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
