Twenty-two years ago, the first pilots ventured into the Pardus universe. Since then, countless battles have been fought, fortunes made and lost, alliances founded, starbases raised, sectors conquered — and more than a few pilots have met an unfortunate end somewhere in deep space.
To mark the 22nd anniversary of Pardus, the universe is expanding with a number of new features and challenges.
The Cyborg Corebreaker
Something new has emerged from the depths of the Pardus Cluster.
The Cyborg Corebreaker is a massive new Cyborg vessel, built around a heavily reinforced core and designed to survive punishment that would tear lesser constructs apart. Its imposing manta-like frame combines thick armour and powerful weapon systems. Pilots looking for a new challenge should prepare accordingly. The Corebreaker was not built to be dismantled easily.
New Advanced Skills
The Advanced Skills system is also expanding with several new specializations, opening up additional options for industrialists and starbase commanders:
Captain of Industry rewards pilots who push their industrial empire further, including the ability to operate additional Military and Trading Outposts.
Charismatic Starbase Commander focuses on leadership and getting more out of the population under your command.
Food Rationing and Water Rationing provide new ways to manage a starbase when essential supplies become scarce.
Together, these skills add a new branch of specialization for pilots who prefer building, managing and sustaining the infrastructure of the universe rather than blowing it up — although, naturally, there is nothing preventing them from doing both.
22 years and counting
Pardus would not have reached its 22nd birthday without the players who have populated its universe for all these years: traders, pirates, soldiers, explorers, industrialists, alliance leaders, newcomers and veterans alike.
